Instructions for using the docwilliams.com online store:
We have created this guide to help you through your first purchase.
Step 1: Browse the Store
You can browse the store using the links. Currently, we have two categories of items: CDs and Books.
Step 2: View Item Detail (Optional)
By clicking on an item you can view additional information about that product. For CDs, this additional information includes a detailed song listing.
Step 3: Add Items to the Cart
The "Add to Cart" button allows you to add items to your online shopping cart. For those that have never purchased online before, this cart is a "virtual" shopping cart, similar to the kind you would find in a shop. Adding and/or removing items from your shopping cart does not commit you to purchase them.
Step 4: Checkout
After you have made your selections, click the "Show Cart" button in the top-right corner of the page (unless you are already viewing your shopping cart.) Once on this screen, review your selections and confirm the subtotal amount. Click on "Checkout" when you are ready to move on to the next step.
Step 5: Account Creation or Account Log In
If you have purchased from the docwilliams.com online store before, use your existing username and password to log in using the log in box that is displayed. If you have already created an account on docwilliams.com, use that username and password. (The online store and website use a unified log in system.)
If you have not yet created an account, simply start filling out the shipping information boxes below the log in box.
Step 6: Shipping Method
At present, we are using a flat rate fee for U.S. (and Canadian shipments); for other international shipping costs please email us for cost of shipping/handling). Thank you.
Step 7: Payment Selection
Currently, we only accept PayPal as payment for purchases made through our Online Store. PayPal is a online "payments processing" company owned by eBay, Inc. They allow us to easily accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Electronic Checks/Cheques. They also allow us to accept international payments (made in a number of world currencies: C$, ? Sterling, ?, ?, CHF, etc.) easily. We understand it can be difficult for our international customers to convert a small amount of money into US Dollars; this is one of the reasons we have decided to use PayPal for accepting payments.
Step 7a: Confirmation of Order
Clicking on the "Confirm Order" button places your selections in our ordering system.
But wait! Your order has not yet been paid!
You are not done just yet!
Step 8: Pay With PayPal
Once you click "Confirm Order" you will automatically be redirected to PayPal where you will be asked to provide payment information. If you already have a PayPal account, simply enter your account information and proceed with payment. If not, simply create a new account and enter your payment information.
Once you pay for your order, PayPal will automatically send a message to our system indicating your payment status. If you pay with an Electronic Check/Cheque, payment may take several days to process. Credit cards are usually processed within a few seconds. We recommend using a credit card for ease of use. You may also use a "Debit" card linked to a Checking/Chequeing/Current account if it displays a VISA/MasterCard/Discover/American Express logo. (For those customers from the United Kingdom, PayPal also accepts Switch/Solo/Delta/Electron/Maestro in addition to the other cards.)
Step 9: You're Done! Thanks For Your Order!
Once payment has been sent through PayPal, you're done! Once PayPal has confirmed the payment, our order system will indicate that your order is "Confirmed." Once you reach this stage, your order will be shipped as soon as possible (usually within 24-72 hours.)
